The Antikörper Sessions: SEIMS

Die Math-Rock-Band SEIMS aus Sydney, Australien bewegt sich stilsicher und einzigartig von Post-Rock über Hardcore und Elektronik bis hin zu Experimental Noise und Jazz.

SEIMS spielten und arbeiteten schon mit Bands wie Tortoise, We Lost The Sea, Thomas Pridgen/The Mars Volta und Regurgitator. Ihr von der Kritik gefeiertes Album 3 brachte SEIMS 2017 den weltweiten Durchbruch und führte sie nach Japan, wo sie Tokyo mit ihrem Auftritt beim Bahamasfest wie Godzilla überrollten. Die Band spielte 2018 und 2019 auf dem Progfest in Sydney, tourte erneut in Japan, um danach auch erstmals in Europa und den USA aufzutreten. Ihre Live-Shows sind intensiv, rasend, energisch, wütend und hinterlassen jeden Abend offene Münder atemloser Fans. 

Das aktuelle Album 3+3.1 wurde am 03. April 2020 via Bird’s Rope Records und Art As Catharsis veröffentlicht.

Peter Hollo plays in a band called TANGENTS and also recorded cello on the new SEIMS record “3+3.1”. Both of our bands supported TORTOISE on their Aussie tour in 2016. I thought it’d be fun to do an acoustic version of “Translucenc”. Live, this song gets really heavy, but playing it at home on my own, it becomes quite pretty and beautiful. As a bassist, I thought let’s keep it non-traditional (much like the rest of our music) and rearrange the song for my Bass VI, and a cello for The Antikörper Sessions.
